I was given my first camera at the age of about six, and my passion and enthusiasm for photography is the same now as it was then.  I love the thrill of new experiences, the ever-changing scenery around me, the endless possibilities.

 

I value simplicity and spontaneity.  Nothing is styled or staged or sought out.  Like a kid in a sweet shop I am driven by what delights me in the moment

 

 

Images have always played a big part in my life, bringing joy, inspiration and even comfort in times of need.

 

I have always loved colours and stationery so it seemed a logical step to produce greetings cards from my photography and to share that joy with others.

 

They are mostly impressionistic images of everyday scenes, largely inspired by the natural world - whatever catches my eye or speaks to my heart.

 

 

My love of writing came from childhood where journal writing provided an invaluable outlet in a world where self-expression and creativity were seen as indulgences.  And later an exploratory space for a rich inner world that I escaped to when the outer world was too confusing or uncomfortable.
